2012 clearly was a year devoted to The Hobbit, no surprise since the first part of the movie adaptation by Peter Jackson was released. So books with all Hobbit related topics flooded the market, new cover designs appeared and movie tie-ins were put in the market.

HarperCollins Releases Hobbit Movie Cover Edition

A decade ago the traditional artistic covers of the Lord of the Rings were ditched and replaced with screenshots and new concept designs from the movie trilogy.
