A beautiful set first published in 1989 of the three (3) graphic novels based on The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, (see Hammond A3.c [p. 24]).
Published by Eclipse Books in 1990. Adapted from J.R.R. Tolkiens fantasy classic by Charles Dixon and illustrated by David Wenzel.
Still sealed in the original publishers shrinkwrap, this copy is a special edition, of which 600 copies were bound, this being no. 367, signed by the artist, David Wenzel, on a cancel frontispiece.
Photos of the graphic novels are from a different set, used just to show the illustrations by Wenzel.
