Custom Clamshell Case for the 1954- 1955 Allen & Unwin First Editions of The Lord of the Rings.

Full Black Leather cover, The spine of the case has three raised sections, featuring raised bands, inlayed compartments with Crimson or Burgundy Leather, gilt stamped with Title & Author, split between the sections.
Also has a small Ring & Eye Device from the original UK Dustjacket, along with publisher and date.

The rear cover has the JRRT Monogram gilt stamped. The front cover has the Tengwar Title and Author, with the large Ring & Eye device centered.
Interior trays are cover with Black Italian bookcloth. Also available is a quarter bound clamshell case, with the same leather triple spined look as the full leather version, featuring red or burgundy marbled paper boards, matched to the Red and Burgundy inlays to the spine.

A beautiful compliment to your First Edition Lord of the Rings set.

All leather, papers, boards, and cloth are highest quality acid free, and the cover is Moroccan Leather, or marbled paper by Joan Ajala of Australia.
