The Silmarillion – Limited Collector’s Box (HarperCollins, 1999) – Sealed.

A highly attractive and increasingly scarce sealed collector’s edition of Tolkien’s mythological masterpiece, complete with all original inserts.

This is the 1999 HarperCollins Limited Collector’s Box of The Silmarillion, issued as a deluxe companion volume to The Lord of the Rings. Presented here still sealed in the original publisher’s shrink-wrap, the set remains entirely untouched and preserves all contents in as-new condition.

The silvered presentation box, decorated with Tengwar-style borders, houses a carefully curated selection of material expanding upon Tolkien’s legendarium. Such complete and unopened examples have become increasingly difficult to source on the market.

The outer shrink-wrap shows minor handling wear and light surface creasing, as commonly encountered, but remains fully intact. The set itself appears unopened and pristine beneath the wrap.

Sealed. Near fine to fine overall, with only slight wear to the outer shrink-wrap. Contents presumed mint.

A first edition thus of this limited collector’s issue. Complete, sealed examples are increasingly uncommon, particularly with all original components preserved intact. A desirable addition for collectors seeking high-quality Tolkien presentation editions.
