The 2014 HarperCollins four-volume boxed set, containing The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King and The Lord of the Rings: A Reader’s Companion by Wayne G. Hammond and Christina Scull.
The trilogy features Tolkien’s original dust-jacket designs. The four hardback volumes are housed in the publisher’s black slipcase, decorated with gilt lettering and Tolkien’s Eye of Sauron design.
The set remains in its original publisher’s shrinkwrap. There are visible tears and openings in the wrapping, especially along the exposed spines and upper edge.
A four-volume 60th-anniversary presentation of The Lord of the Rings, with Hammond and Scull’s Reader’s Companion and the matching publisher’s slipcase.
