This is the 10th impression (1973) of the Dutch edition of De hobbit, published by Het Spectrum N.V. Translation by Max Schuchart, typography and cover design by Cees Kelfkens.

Condition:
A worn copy with significant defects, but complete and fully readable.
  • Front cover: pronounced corner wear, creases, small loss.
  • Back cover: heavy abrasion, staining and sticker residue.
  • Spine: creased, worn, and slightly weakened.
  • Hinges: front inner hinge cracked; tape ghost present; cover partially loose.
  • Pages: uniformly aged, foxing on opening and closing leaves.
  • Map: present and intact.
Despite the wear, it remains a legitimate early Dutch Hobbit printing with its original cover art — a budget entry for collectors or completionists.
