De hobbit – Prisma-Boeken, 3rd Printing (1967)
The classic Dutch paperback edition of The Hobbit, featuring the iconic Cees Kelfkens cover artwork.
This is the third printing (1967) of the Dutch translation of The Hobbit, published by Prisma-Boeken (Het Spectrum), with the well-known and highly collectible C. Kelfkens cover design.
These early Prisma printings have become increasingly scarce, especially in solid condition, as they were cheaply produced and heavily read.
Bibliographical details:

• Printing: 3rd printing (“Derde druk”)
• Series number: 529
• Translator: Max Schuchart

Condition:
A well-preserved example of this fragile edition. Covers are bright with only light rubbing and ageing. The spine is unusually clean and uncreased.
Pages show the typical uniform toning consistent with Prisma paper stock but remain firmly bound. No loose sections. A small neat name appears on the contents page.
Overall one of the better copies encountered of this printing.
A charming and increasingly hard-to-find early Dutch Hobbit, perfect for collectors seeking a clean representative example of the iconic Kelfkens design.
