An elegant set of early impressions of the Second Edition of The Lord of the Rings, finely bound in deep burgundy full leather. The set includes: The Fellowship of the Ring (13th impression, 1963), The Two Towers (9th impression, 1962), and The Return of the King (10th impression, 1963).
Each volume is decorated with raised bands, gilt titling, and floral ornamentation to the spine. The endpapers are clean, the paper fresh, and the page edges untrimmed. All three folding maps are present and in excellent condition. No inscriptions or previous ownership marks.
