The Hobbit is the 8th printing, May 1984, Ballantine paperback. ISBN 0-345-31858-7.
The Fellowship of the Ring is the 1st printing, March 1984, Ballantine paperback. ISBN 0-345-29605-2.
The Two Towers is the 77th printing, April 1984, Ballantine paperback. ISBN 0-345-29606-0.
The Return of the King is the 71st printing, June 1983, Ballantine paperback. ISBN 0-345-29608-7.

This is the 2nd variant of this set from 1984, with the 1st variant being released in 1983, and the very first printing of this particular set was in 1981. Being the 1984 set, it has the ISBN: 0-345-18344-4. What is unusual, but the same for all these sets is that the slipcase is a bit too high for the books leaving a little free space above the books, as you can see in the pictures.
These paperback books are fine unread condition, except for The Two towers showing signs to the spine of being read.

The slipcase has the usual wear to its corners, but is one of the better I have seen, with just some rubbing and bumps to corners.
Some rubbing to bottom. Overall an impressive fine looking set.
