The last run of the 100 limited edition has been specially commissioned to create a beautiful slipcased deluxe edition of this remarkable book.

This collection of stories drawn and blended from the fabric of Middle-earth by JRR Tolkien was first issued in a series of 3 comprehensive booklets for members of the Tolkien Society in 1990. In 2005 they were expanded and beautifully illuminated by the hand of Ruth Lacon. The 2005 edition was limited to 100 copies and sold out very quickly. Most of these are in the hands of Tolkien Completist's and are very hard to find.

This new edition is also limited to 100 copies and are individually hand tipped and signed by Alex Lewis and Ruth Lacon.
This copy is numbered 95 of 100 and has unique touches in gilt by the illustrator. Absolutely beautiful. Signed by Editor & Illustrator.

The 2005 plain black edition came without a slipcase. But for about 16 copies a custom leather slipcase was made.
This 'ivory' edition is housed in a custom made slipcase which matches the book covers perfectly.

The ivory edition is very special as Alex Lewis has written an entirely new tale at the end and added a new poem.
The story itself has entirely new artwork by Ruth Lacon who illustrated the other tales.

This story is not to be found anywhere else and this makes this ivory edition incredibly unique.
The cost of production was not cheap and this shows in the quality of this book.
