The Lord of the Rings – UK Second Edition, Second Impressions, 1967 – clp0081

A complete George Allen & Unwin Revised Edition set, with all three volumes in the second impression of 1967 and their original unclipped dust jackets.

The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King are each second impressions of the 1966 Revised Edition, published by George Allen & Unwin in 1967.

The three volumes are bound in clean red cloth with bright gilt lettering and unfaded red top stains. The textblocks are clean and bright, with no ownership names or writing, and the original folding maps remain in place without additional folds or tears.

The books are near fine overall. The original dust jackets are not price-clipped and present very well, with only light rubbing and minor wear at the edges visible in the photographs.

A handsome, uniformly matched early Revised Edition set in notably well-preserved original jackets.
