This lovely publication contains some of the earliest advertisements and reviews of the newly issued book, The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.
The book is in Very Good Plus condition, showing minor soiling to the covers, one small split to the bottom of the spine about 1/2" long.
Text block is bright and clean, no markings or previous owners names noted. Contains a full page ad on page 69 for The Hobbit from Houghton Mifflin, as well as being mentioned in another article on page 92, and a full review on pages 94 - 96, page 95 being a full page view of the frontispiece, The Hill: Hobbiton across The Water.
A lovely collectable for any Tolkien enthusiast.
