This catalog is notable for the inclusion of the forthcoming publication of The Hobbit - Or There and Back Again by J.R.R. Tolkien. This list includes particulars of the new books which we hope to publish by the end of August, 1937. 

Contains a lovely description of the story, later incorporated into the blurbs on the 1st UK dustjacket.
Catalog is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", original paper wraps, 56 pages with staple binding, numerous black & white illustrations throughout.  

Very likely the 2nd announcement in print of the forth-coming publication of The Hobbit.  
This announcement the first to note "with Illustrations by the Author".  

Only the lightest age toning or soiling to the text and covers, clean, tight and unmarked.
