J.R.R. Tolkien's Limited Edition Oliphaunt - Just 14 Prints Available
Oliphaunt is a poem by J.R.R. Tolkien which was first published in The Lord of the Rings, Book IV, Chapter3, and reprinted with the title Oliphaunt in The Adventures of Tom Bombadil and Other Verses from the Red Book (1962).
This collector item is mentioned in Hammond on page 98: "
A separate broadside edition was printed at the Eden Press, Toronto, in September 1984, in an edition of fourteen copies."
On the print we can read: "
OLIPHAUNT was printed at Eden Press on Rising Book paper. Foundry 30 pt. Othello Bold & monotype elephants were used. This is number [4 ; in pensil] in an edition of [14 ; in pensil. Toronto September 1984"
it measures
39 X 21,5 cm and is in perfect condition.
