Tolkien's World: Paintings of Middle-earth - HarperCollins 1992 Second Printing

The large-format 1992 hardback, with the number line ending in 2 and therefore correctly identified as the second printing.

Published for the centenary of Tolkien's birth, this illustrated anthology presents scenes from Middle-earth by Inger Edelfeldt, Tony Galuidi, Roger Garland, Robert Goldsmith, Michael Hague, John Howe, Alan Lee, Ted Nasmith and Carol Emery Phenix. Each painting is accompanied by the relevant passage from Tolkien's work and a short artist note.

Published by HarperCollins, 1992. ISBN 0-261-10276-1.

Condition: A sound and clean copy in the original illustrated dust jacket. The jacket shows light rubbing and edge and corner wear, most noticeably around the spine ends; the binding and photographed interior remain very good.

The photographs show the exact copy offered.

A handsome early showcase for the artists who shaped the modern visual imagination of Middle-earth.
