A well-preserved copy with bright covers and light wear at the extremities.
Pocket edition in the Zwarte Beertjes series (little black bears series), no. 3166, with John Howe's colour illustration of Bilbo's hobbit-hole on the cover.

The cover was designed by Rudy Vrooman and shows art by John Howe.

Only Thror's map is available, on p. [2-3]. Wilderland is lacking. It has the untitled preface about the runes on Thror's Map, but no translator's note.

A 2004 Zwarte Beertjes edition of De Hobbit, distinguished by John Howe's welcoming view of Bag End.
