In The Fellowship of the Ring, the map showing A Part of The Shire appears on page 24.
In The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, the map of The West of Middle-earth at the End of the Third Age and the Map of Gondor, Rohan and Mordor appear spread over integral pages.
In The Return of the King, the map of The West of Middle-earth at the End of the Third Age and the Map of Gondor, Rohan and Mordor appear spread over the final pages.
The maps were redrawn by Stephen Raw in 1994.
These book were issued no earlier than 1998, even though copyright only refers to 1991. Although it is not actually stated that this is a Book Club Associates edition, it was only available from BCA outlets. It appears to be pages of the standard hardback edition bound as a paperback.
This BCA paperback edition can be distinguished from a HarperCollins paperback edition by the absence of a barcode on the lower cover. ISBN numbers are however similar to the standard hardback editions.
These paperbacks are in new unread condition.
