This copy is numbered 143 of 500, and contains the special foreword by Christopher Tolkien.

This copy is in fine condition outside, but for one or another strange reason has dots and speckles inside. While it still crackles when opening and seems unread, somehow moist did leave a mark in form of little specks. This is the only fault on this copy and it is mostly on the first pages, the rest of the text block is clean. Sad to see this book like this, but now in stable condition.

Bound in dark green leather, and housed in original publishers slipcase. With 143 Limitation Notice on the limitation page.

No further marks or writing, still crackles when opened. Most copies have a lot of sunning of the spine, this one is still green.

A must for the serious collector.
