HarperCollins’ seven-volume 2001 film edition, presenting Tolkien’s six books and appendices in a matching illustrated slipcase.

Published by HarperCollins in 2001, this compact boxed set divides The Lord of the Rings according to Tolkien’s internal structure: one volume for each of the six books and a seventh for the appendices.

The seven small-format paperbacks have black covers using the Peter Jackson film campaign image of Frodo’s hand holding the Ring, also seen on the early teaser poster. The volumes are housed in the matching illustrated slipcase.

The books are unread and in fine/as-new condition. The slipcase is near fine, with only minimal shelf wear.

An attractive complete film-edition set that presents Tolkien’s epic in its seven intended textual parts.
