This set includes: J.R.R. tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King.

The Fellowship of the ring has ISBN 0 395 27223 8 and published by Houghton Mifflin in 1978, 1st impression.
The Two Towers has ISBN 0 395 27222 X and published by Houghton Mifflin in 1978, 3rd impression.
The Return of the King has ISBN 0 395 27221 1 and published by Houghton Mifflin in 1978, 3rd impression.

Author's name in his own hand/large print on books, similar to the hardcover edition of this year which is often called "the signature set".

Despite it being the only trade paperback editions in print for a decade (from 1978 to 1987), there aren't many on the market. They were are also released, together with The Hobbit, in a red or green slipcase.

These paperbacks are in used condition. Broken spines, some shelf wear and yellowing but very clean text blocks. Overal a very lovely set that will be enjoyed by any Tolkien fan.
