This specially bound and slipcased three volume edition of the Lord of the Rings has been published to celebrate the centenary
of J.R.R. tolkien's birth on January 3, 1892.
This edition has been limited to 250 copies for Harper Collins Publishers, London
each one numbered and signed by the artist. This copy number 178/250, Alan Lee
A beautiful set quarter bound in dark green leather and cloth with the JRRT monogram on the front boards of the books and the original publishers slipcase.
Each book has gilded edges, ribbon marker bound in, and signed limitation page.
This set is still sealed in the original shrinkwrap, and housed in the original mailer with limitation notice on the end.
The actual edition number has not been verified, so the shrinkwrap can remain unopened.
