These last two books are in their correct and original, unprice clipped dustjackets.
No offsetting or foxing to the endpapers, text block is very clean and bright.

A Very Good Plus/Near Fine set of first editions of this classic of fantasy literature, showing some soiling and rubbing to the exterior of the dustjackets.
The Two Towers and Return of the King have a previous owner's (same) bookplate to the front endpaper, hidden by the dj flap.
Very little fading to the lettering on the spines as is almost always seen.
Some rubbing and light soiling to the edges.
The text block is clean and bright, edges are also clean & bright.
The red topstain is clean, with no fading, except on the Return of the King.
The exterior cloth is clean, with the gilt untarnished and bright.
