The Lord of the Rings 3 volumes all 1st impressions of the 1st Edition by JRR Tolkien 1st impression 1st edition, 1954 1954 and 1955. Presented in a beautiful slipcase and 3 volumes beautifully rebound by by Temple Bookbinders of Headington Oxford with matching ring and eye designs on a burgundy leather with gilt raised compartments to spine with titles and date, internally beautiful condition, all pages complete with slight correct age toning. A lovely signature of JRR Tolkien has been tipped in, inside the front of the Fellowship of the Ring and looks stunning with gold leaf borders to match the binding. Gold leaf page edges all round, All maps present in fine condition and a wonderful set. No writing, no annotations, no inscriptions, a wonderful set.
