The Lord of the Rings, Signed on the title page by the author, J.R.R. Tolkien.
This is the 1969 Fourth Impression of the 1968 One Volume Paperback Edition of the Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien.

This copy is signed on the title page by the author.

No other markings or previous owner names found.
Fountain pen ink is faded, but is still legible in his distinctive flourished style.

The pictorial covers show considerable rubbing and wear.
The front cover is starting to split at the fold, both top and bottom, just slightly split at the bottom on the back cover.
The spine is faded and convex from being read many times.

There are 3 pages that have pulled loose from the binding, pg 649 thru 654, one of which has the top 1/4 " of the corner torn off, not effecting any type.
Page 609 shows an identical missing corner.
